It was an early day. I got up at 5:15 and took a shower. In my hotel. I headed to the front desk and they had a picnic lunch waiting for me. I grabbed that and headed to the train station. It was a two hour and 45 minute ride to Burgos. Once there, I had to get to the cathedral where I left off my journey thee years ago.
I decided to try the bus, but the driver didn’t speak much English and my Spanish wasn’t good enough to get me by. Fortunately a young woman named Sandra helped me out. We got on the 16 bus and headed downtown. Fortunately, we both needed the same stop.
I headed into the cathedral and she went on her way to French class.
I finally reached the Cathedral de Burgos after a 3 year break.
I went inside, said a prayer for a safe journey and chatted with my grandma and grandpa for a bit and started walking west…
