Wednesday, October 25, 2023 – This might have been the rainiest day yet. My new shoes worked great. My feet were dry for the whole day. The terrain was beautiful with hikes through some small towns, but was dominated by treks through the woods. The contrast of the deep green leaves against the brown-red of the dead ferns and eucalyptus scraps is beautiful.
We also walked through many vineyards. I grabbed a bunch of grapes at one and are a few. They were ripe and had a delicious, sugary globule inside along with a couple seeds. A great trail snack. I even grabbed a gooseberry and some mint and dill. One could make a great salad from the roadside buffet. We ended up at a great dinner spot and had some huge prawns. The were somehow cooked in whisky, so we decided to end the night with a whisky nightcap. Sleep soon followed – as do our pictures:

This has been one of my favorites. I love the architecture. The food looked great to! Praying for God moments in your journey! Happy Hiking
Thank you so much. There are starting to be more churches and chapels now. We are about 2 days out of Santiago. My friends and I are doing well walking even though it is very wet. Thank you so much for following along, Sherri.
